FAQs
You ask. I answer.
-
Where's Home?
Toronto, Canada. Where the weather keeps you humble, the food keeps your adventurous, and locals apologize for being in the same elevator as you.
-
Where did you study?
I studied Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music, after completing Selkirk College’s Contemporary Music Program.
-
What instruments do you play?
Guitar’s the mothership. I also dabble in piano, bass, drums, percussion, dulcimer, and the dark art of programming orchestras that don’t actually exist.
-
Who are your musical influences?
Pat Metheny Group. Dave Matthews Band. 90s grunge. Roy Hargrove. Jóhann Jóhannsson. Jamie Cullum. Snarky Puppy. A mix of jazz, orchestral minimalism, moody songwriters, and bands that made it weird in the best way.
-
Weirdest thing you’ve scored?
A scene involving a demon, a salad spinner, and a voiceover that said “Time to get crunchy.”
-
Coffee or tea?
Coffee. Black. Like my sleep schedule.

Mostly Logic Pro. Sometimes Pro Tools if I’m feeling nostalgic for pain. My template’s stacked with Kontakt libraries, orchestral tools, synths, and a few plugins I’d probably rescue in a fire. I don’t believe in “the perfect setup”, just one that lets you move fast, sound great, and still have something left in the tank when someone asks for “a slightly warmer version with more tension.”

Anything with a story worth telling and a deadline that isn’t imaginary. I work on everything from series and spots to games, docs, and music library commissions. If you need music that’s cinematic, character-driven, or just a bit off-center, we should connect.

I do! In fact, I love teaching. I’ve spoken at colleges, festivals, and industry events about media composition, production workflows, career-building, and how to make orchestral music without an orchestra (or a breakdown). If you're looking for a clinic that’s practical, honest, and occasionally funny on purpose, get in touch.
